Alan – Affectionate & Cuddly Burmese
Our Cat of the Month, Alan would love to share his Holiday Diary with you. He is a bit over excited to let everyone know how he spent his holiday retreat at Cooinda Cat Resort.
My fantastic mornings started as soon as the kitty carers walk in the door. I would get cuddles off each and every one of them. Followed by a facial. Now, my facial consisted on getting my eyes done. I have a breed issue of having runny eyes. I’ve been told that most Burmese always have runny eyes when they wake up in the morning or even some ‘sleep’ in them. Sooo my facial consists of making sure my eyes and nicely cleaned and looking beautiful I have to be able to woo the customers that visit me outdoors in my exercise yard and I can’t do that if I have a bit of sleep in them. Its not as appealing.
After my facial I get a quick dart around the Fernery Internal Gardens, before returning to my room to venture outdoors. I enjoy running a muck first thing in the morning which consists of being in my outdoor exercise yard and darting all the way to the top of the scratching post, jumping down to the bench, over to the hammock, rolling around and then running back indoors where a new kitty carer meets me for a cuddle.

I enjoy my breakfast which is something new and fresh every day. I love having a variety for my breakfast, it’s where I obtain all my energy from that I will expend in the afternoon.
Now some Afternoons I spend in the play gym where I have hammocks, climbers, scratching posts and Cubbys to adventure in or just chill out stretching across the hammock bed. Other afternoons I venture around in the Fernery Gardens where I enjoy running through the gardens, along the fish ponds, and up and down the scratching posts. I really enjoy trying to get these funny looking cats (I think the kitty carers called them a hippo, I’ve never heard of that Cat Breed, but anyway) I love bopping them on the head and then running away. They never want to play though. I also love sneaking up on the Kitty Carers and clinging onto their feet before running away then doing it again.

If you were to ask my what my all time favorite activity is, it would be a hard answer. But it would have to be playing with that silly Yellow Feather Toy with the kitty carers that I just can’t manage to destroy. It keeps coming back every day even when I catch it and swear its definitely not moving. My Second Most Favorite would have to be cuddles. I could go on and on and on and on about all the next Most Favorite stuff I love to do or love about this resort but we don’t have that much time.
