Shaggy’s Holiday Diary

Our Cat of the Month, Shaggy would love to share his Holiday Diary with you from his relaxing retreat at Cooinda Cat Resort.

Every morning I wake up in my wonderful Cooinda Eco-Cubby, laying on a nice fluffy mattress, with an extra fluffy blanket supplied if I need it. What Another GREAT night’s sleep for me. Don’t you just love when you go on holidays and the bed is super comfy!. Its always a highlight.

My mornings begin with a gourmet breakfast of Salmon flavored biscuits. These humans can come up with the most amazing food creations. After I indulge in my breakfast, I like to go for a morning run. So out my cat door I go to explore my outdoor exercise area and watch the new wildlife that has showed up. Oh and I occasionally get to visit the Fernery Internal Gardens where I LOVE exploring as there is so many different and interesting things to see.

I tell you what though… Cuddle time is THE BEST time of day. The kitty carers visit me regularly and not just pats! I get a full BIG cuddles where I actually can wrap my paws around their neck and rest my chin on their shoulders. They are always so willing and warm when I cuddle them.

But wait there is more, I also get daily brushes, where the kitty carers brush out my dreadlock looking hair. Some people are born with straight hair, some with curly…. mine is more curly dreadlocks. It can sometimes be a bit of a pain but the kitty carers do a wonderful job sprusing me up. They tend to always return a few minutes later with a camera to do a photo shoot.

My Photo Shoot poses include staged objects like my lovely brown striped flower pillow. The carers ask me to do something cute and then they tell me to stop there, and do it again because they missed it. They always say to slow down with the cuteness as the camera is not that quick… I tell them politely If your going to ask me to pose for a photo then you better rock up with the right equipment and be prepared because you only get 5-10minutes of this oppertunity.
